Tullece (ターレス, Tāresu; FUNimation "Turles") leads the Crusher Tullece Corps.
Tullece's Japanese name is a pun on the word Retasu, or Lettuce in English.

Appearance
Aside from a different skin tone and two "devil horns" in his hair, Tullece looks exactly like Goku. In the Anime Film Comics, it is said that the reason why Tullece and Goku look alike is because within the low-rank Saiyans, the facial patterns of each warrior are similar, thus making it easy to mark which Saiyans are low-class warriors. Tullece also bears a resemblance to Bardock, Goku's father.
Biography
Early life
Tullece was once a member of the Saiyan Army under Freeza's Force, but left and went off into the cosmos to conquer planets for himself with his group known as the Crusher Tullece Corps. It was assumed that Tullece escaped Planet Vegeta's destruction because he was on a mission. Nearly thirty years after Planet Vegeta's destruction, Tullece and his squad of henchmen made their way toward Planet Earth after they detected a viable planet for the Shinseiju.
Tullece's age was unknown, though he appears to be around the same age as Goku. It was assumed he was older since he had abandoned Freeza long before Goku was born.
Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might

Tullece had a Seed of the Shinseiju which, once planted, grew into a tree that sapped the energy of the world in which it had taken root. Therefore, he sought out a planet that he would be able to plant the seed on so he could eat the Fruit of the Shinseiju and become exponentially stronger than before. With him, Tullece had gathered a medley of ragtag thugs, all of whom were quite strong (stronger than the average Z Warrior).
After his arrival on Planet Earth, Tullece mainly watched the battle between his men and the Z Warriors in his spaceship. He did not appear until he saw Son Gohan defeat one of his men single-handedly. He realized that he was the son of Goku and soon met with him. Gohan was shocked to find that he had almost an identical appearance to his father, and was also in fact a Saiyan. Tullece asked him to join his team, but Gohan refused. Piccolo soon came to Gohan's rescue, but was defeated easily by Tullece.
Tullece soon sees that Gohan has grown back his tail. He quickly creates a Blutz Wave energy ball and forces Gohan to look at it. Helpless, Gohan transforms into a Great Ape. Gohan soon goes on a rampage, and nearly kills Goku. He abruptly stops when he sees his friend Icarus in the area. He stops and, thanks to his childhood innocence, plays around with Icarus. Tullece, however, attacks Icarus, apparently killing him, provoking Gohan. To Tullece's surprise, Gohan is able to control himself and specifically attack Tullece. However, Great Ape Gohan is no match for Tullece, and is nearly killed. But Goku cuts his tail off before getting hit with Tullece's deadly final attack. Goku swears revenge on Tullece for harming his son.
With the Z Warriors defeated with much ease, Tullece's men all attack Goku. Watching at the sidelines, Tullece was ambushed by Piccolo. Tullece was able to survive Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon at point blank range, and with one blast Tullece defeated Piccolo. With a single Kaio-ken, Goku killed all of Tullece's men with a single hit each. To the anger of Tullece, Goku's power continued to increase. Tullece soon learned that he had highly underestimated Goku's power and resorted to eating the Fruit of the Shineiju.
Eventually, Tullece successfully grabbed and ate a piece of fruit and his strength dramatically increased. Even with a Kaio-ken at ten-times it's normal strength and a Genki Dama formed from what little remained of the planet's energy, Goku is unable to topple Tullece. It was only with a newly formed Genki Dama containing energy from the Tullece that Goku was able to obliterate both Tullece and the Shinseiju once and for all.

Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans

Tullece appeared in Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans as part of the Ghost Warriors. He was easily killed by Gohan.

Tullece appeared in three video games as part of the Ghost Warriors. He was easily killed by Gohan. In an alternate ending, however, Tullece easily killed Gohan instead.[3]
Tullece made his first appearance as a playable character in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, featuring a never before seen Great Ape transformation. His Great Ape form in the game was typical of untrained lower-class soldiers as he could not control his mind. He made his second appearance in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and returned in Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2.
Association with Goku
Toriyama stated that Tullece's physical similarities to Goku are not coincidental and that Tullece was intended as an alternate version of him. Tullece was developed as a version of Goku if Goku had not bumped his head and forgotten his purpose, however, his in-universe story has varied from dub to dub, from being Goku's long lost twin to simply a Saiyan who shares his appearance, like several other characters in the series.
Relationship with Vegeta
In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Tullece and Vegeta have a special pre-battle conversation (He and King Vegeta have the same dialogue). Vegeta starts it by saying, "Your face is utterly disgusting!", to which Tullece replies by saying, "Well, this brings back memories." When Tullece defeats Vegeta, he mocks him by calling him "The Princess of all Saiyans."
Tullece's only two non-manga appearances, however, are in Dragon Ball Z: The Tree of Might and Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate Super Saiyans. Tullece is never mentioned in the main storyline of the series.
Battle power
It was stated by Tullece himself that Goku had a battle power of roughly 30,000. A battle ensued with Goku gaining a slight edge but Tullece able to hold his own, which meant that Tullece's battle power was comparable to 30,000. After eating a piece of Fruit of the Shinseiju, Tullece's battle power increased dramatically. Goku then multiplied his Kaio-ken by tenfold to try and match him, but Turles defeated Goku's Kaioken x10 with ease. Goku's power level was roughly 300,000 when he used the Kaio-ken x10. If Tullece was able to defeat that with ease, this would possibly put Tullece at a level to where he could rival that of Freeza in his first form, who had a confirmed battle power of 530,000. In the FUNimation dub of the movie, there's an error of Goku saying Kaio-ken x20 which may have been added to show how great Tullece's power is and show it could be over 600,000 , making him stronger than Freeza's first form. Tullece also ate another fruit after beating Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin and Chiaotzu which would boost his power to even greater heights, although by how much is unknown.
Techniques
- Bukujutsu
- Calamity Blaster – This is a very powerful beam technique.
- Fruit of the Shinseiju: Tullece somehow obtained a Seed of the Shinseiju and planted them on various planets to produce Fruit of the Shinseiju that gave the eater immense strength enhancement. Tullece had eaten plenty of them to become extremely powerful, dramatically transcending the levels of his former status as a low-class warrior.
- Power Ball – By combining his ki with the planet's atmosphere, Tullece can create a ball of condensed Bruits Waves that simulate the effects of a full moon and allow him to transform into a Great Ape. In the FUNimation dub, he calls this technique the Moon Blast.
- Great Ape Transformation – Like all Saiyans with a tail, Tullece can transform into a Giant Ape at the sight of a full moon (or similar sources). Though he has never transformed in the film, and he stated that he would lose his wits if he does, he is seen transformed in the games.
- Pulse Drive – Tullece fires a large and powerful beam of purple energy from either his palm or index finger. Upon impact, a second, larger column of purple energy erupts from target causing a double hit.
- Kill Driver – Tullece creates a fiery ring of ki and launches it at his opponents, releasing a massive explosion that is strong enough to kill a Great Ape.
- Continuous Energy Bullets – Tullece releases a rapid barrage of energy blasts at his opponents, causing a massive accumulation of damage.
- Meteor Break – His ultimate blast in the Budokai Tenkaichi series.[4] Tullece charges at the foe and knocks them into the air, then flies up to them in midair, knees them in the gut and smashes them down to the ground, then right before the foe hits the ground, Tullece charges down at them, knees them in the gut again, and then lets them fall, pinning their heads to the ground with his foot. Then to finish them off, he blasts the helpless enemy with the Pulse Drive (the same column of energy that he used against Piccolo in the film).

Trivia
- Goku is said to be Tullece's brother in the French AB Groupe dub. This is likely a way of explaining their similarity in appearance for that version.
- Bardock initially believes Gohan is Tullece's son in Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai: Another Road, implying that Bardock and Tullece know each other.
- Tullece claims that his hatred for the Saiyans is greater than that of Freeza, Cooler, and Slug in Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans.
- Gohan thinks that Tullece is his father as Tullece shares similarities with Goku in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3.
