Planet Freeza No. 79 (惑星 フリーザ No. 79, Wakusei Furiiza No. 79; FUNimation "Planet Frieza") is a planet Freeza rules.

History

Dragon Ball Z

An outpost on Planet Freeza No. 79.

Planet Freeza No. 79 appeared briefly when Vegeta recovered there after he had returned from his battle on Earth. The only residents seen on the planet were part of Freeza's Force. It also seemed to be a prominent base of operations for Freeza's Force.

The planet was never revisited by Freeza. Once it was captured, Freeza moved on to the next planet. In Son Goku's battle against Freeza, Planet Freeza No. 79 was shown along with Freeza's Force. An alien who looked similar to Kewie asked the other soldiers if they supported Freeza.

Video games

Planet Freeza No. 79 is seen in cutscenes in Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai. It is explored by Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu and is where Appule, Banan, Sūi, and Kewie first appeared in this video game.

The stage Planet in the Budokai Tenkaichi video game series seems to be based on Planet Freeza No. 79.

Trivia

• Planet Freeza No. 79 looks very similar to Planet Kanassa. Planet Kanassa may have been renamed Planet Freeza No. 79 after Bardock's Elite exterminated the planet's residents.
