The Ki Blast (気砲, Kihō; FUNimation "Energy Blast", Viz "Ki Burst"; Literally meaning "Spirit Cannon") is an energy wave attack used by many fighters.

History

Video games

The Ki Blast has appeared in almost every video game, particularly the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi video game series where it is the most basic and common form of attack. The Ki Blast's power is usually determined by the amount of Ki put into it or the person using it, as one used by Broly or Kid Boo could easily destroy a planet.

It is named Kikōha (気功波, Kikōha; Literally meaning "Spirit Work Wave") in Dragon Ball Z Gaiden: Saiya-jin Zetsumetsu Keikaku.
